Hi everyone. On Bank 2, I must change the camshaft sensor. I've been looking in every possible place for the exact location of this. O'Reilly's Auto Parts located it on the firewall behind banks 1, 2, and 3, according to their extensive diagram search.
I am unable to see it even with my complete intake manifold turned off when I glance back.
Either I'm completely mistaken or I'm not seeing it well. I am in dire need of assistance; it appears that the camshaft sensor has entirely failed, and the vehicle will not start.
A brief history.
In the past, all it did was rapidly deplete my battery. But my Norco boost plus would be enough to get things going. It no longer starts; it only cranks endlessly.
After checking the battery and alternator, I now have a new starter. Only the camshaft sensor one code appears on the on-board diagnostics system.
Initially, it would only deplete my battery. According to my test, it's draining at a rate of about 3 amps!
After I disconnected the starting relay, the drain on the battery stopped. Even after switching it out for another windshield wiper relay, the problem persisted. But even after switching the starter relay for the windshield wiper relay, the latter remained inoperative. Thus, the relay is also malfunctioning.
A huge pre-emptive thank you to everyone!
