I haven't, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get this fixed.
I am grateful.

Re: Underpowered 98 SLK230
Good day. I value the recommendations you've made. Though I have not yet checked on the felines, that is a great idea. Not having the proper fittings made my attempt at a fuel pressure test fail miserably. I will investigate it.

An excellent inquiry.
I'd consult AI, but I fear it might lead me down the path of lunacy.
It should be perfectly acceptable to use a plastic cover as long as it is in excellent condition and has not been cracked or severely distorted.

Re: After the new engine is installed, there is no crank or start.
Furthermore, after I park the car, I usually pull in the key fob, which retracts, and then I remove it. At this moment, the key fob is not stuck in the ignition switch, but it also won't pop out. Even though I can still take the key fob off, the retractable part of the ignition isn't working.

Re: After the new engine is installed, there is no crank or start.
Additionally, before attempting to swap out the ignition switch, I noticed that all the dashboard lights turned on when I inserted the key fob and pressed the start button, but it did not display the key with the slash through it. Additionally, I could activate the fan and roll up the windows. But ...

After the new engine is installed, there is no crank or start.
The engine in my 2006 BMW 530i was just replaced. The vehicle has been experiencing a no crank/no start issue ever after the engine switch.
