In order to be registered in California, my brand-new E320CDI must pass an emission test. After resolving all of the powertrain codes, the Icarsoft MBii indicates that three out of three emission monitors were successful. I thought that was it. There may be more, according to Google AI, but it's very hallucinogenic. I have just entered the realm of CANbus Mercedes.
Prior to wasting a trip to town, could someone please tell me how many there are and what they actually are?
Which and how many OM648 2006 I/M monitors are there?

As far as emissions equipment is concerned, om648s are somewhat naked. EGR control valve. Measurement of oxygen gas by a catalyst. Glow plugs, on the other hand, are considered emissions. With one of these, passing the emissions test should be really easy.
There shouldn't be any problems as long as it is heated up before being tested.

When it comes to pollution, my state is notoriously naive. My prior diesels were excluded from testing, so I am not as familiar with the regulations, even though the diesel test is far more logic based than the gas laws.
