The model year is 2018. The bass is lacking. One of the first Bose subwoofers is up for grabs. Is anyone aware of someone who has successfully adapted one of these? Even though I could just use a regular Sub in that container, I'd rather utilize it as it doesn't reduce the amount of cargo space available.
When driving these vehicles, what do people do with the subwoofers?
Can I install a Bose woofer retrofit into my 2018 subwoofer?

The bass on my Bose Premier is sorely missing; I tried upgrading the subwoofer in the enclosure, but it turned out to be a poor decision. The enclosure is so thin and resonant that you can "hear" it; the port is tiny, so there's a lot of chuffing as a result. I couldn't bring myself to maintain it at a low enough power level—no more than 120w rms—to avoid this. Finally gave up on the extra room and settled for a 10" loaded enclosure with an amplifier.

In the end, what did you obtain? Can you provide any pictures of your installation?

The fact that they are discussing these issues suggests that there are a lot of younger Volt buyers.
