Con artists

Post by scarlettmoorear »

Excuse me, may I
It is likely my fault, but I have already paid this person money in an attempt to purchase brake calipers for my car, and the process keeps going on and on without the calipers ever being supplied. Do a lot of people here fall for scams? I will make amends if this man is legit; if he is a con artist, I will physically repair myself so that I do not have mentally defective children, haha.

If this individual is a con artist, I would like to know his userid so I can identify him on this topic. We may remove him and add him to a blacklist if we locate him here.

I suspect he has another account here and formed a new one to con me because he made his account right after my post. He has asked for more money 41 times in 41 emails, and I have sent $237—I have no idea if he is scamming me or not. I will contact my Chime bank as that is how I paid him, thus I am going to assume that he is a con artist.

It seems like you were obviously a victim of fraud, and that is awful. Regrettably, scams are rampant on car forums at the moment; individuals are often stealing pictures of components like calipers from previous auctions or eBay and posing as sellers.

You paid him in what way? Do not delay any longer in requesting a refund for any purchases made through PayPal Goods & Services; a dispute must be opened immediately. The funds you sent via Zelle, Friends & Family, or CashApp are probably already gone.

You may report him to the forum admins by sending them a message with his username and any relevant conversation screenshots; in the meanwhile, you can contact your financial institution to inquire about the possibility of a chargeback. No need to be too hard on yourself; we've all been there.

The money is already gone since I used Chime MyPay and when I contacted, they stated it's non-refundable because MyPay is regarded as cash or something stupid.

I forwarded his account to them. I should've exercised greater caution. Shortly after I published my post, the man also formed an account. I will now be able to live with myself, haha, thanks to your wonderful compliments.
