Instead of that, why not get a Ferrari?

Post by imaninovakrz »

In comparison to Tesla Model S, has anyone ever thought of getting a Ferrari? Every single owner of a Model S Plaid will tell you, "I can go faster than a Ferrari," even though I know that Model S are quicker. True from a technical standpoint, however if that's the case, everyone who owns a Ferrari is probably also driving a Tesla for work and play.

Owning a Tesla is, in my opinion, the same as flaunting an iPhone or MacBook Pro. There isn't much to brag about, even with the most expensive, fully-specked-out iPhone; it's only practical if you require the storage. You can be content with your Apple Watch Ultra as a timepiece, but it won't help you seem badass while you're on the floor rooting for LeBron James's downfall.

Even if we had the means to purchase a Ferrari, would we be socially stigmatized if we flaunted our wealth? Unless they're about to buy one, no one ever really wants my opinion on the Tesla. Because it resembles a toy vehicle, everyone is always curious about my bespoke Lime green lifted Rivian. The staff at Rivian, on the other hand, despise me and will go out of their way to avoid helping me with any warranty-related issues. As far as cars go, this is the most exotic one I've ever had, and people always seem to want to know more about it.

I don't see why stock vehicles are so appealing to drivers. As if maintaining a regular life were a prerequisite for anything? A Toyota Corolla with 120,000 kilometers may make certain individuals very happy, but it won't win you any awards from the general public. Even if a Ferrari doesn't win you a medal, it's sure to turn heads.

Even while I enjoy Tesla, I don't think Elon Musk has the best interests of consumers who are seeking novelty in mind. Like Apple makes all iPhones appear the same, he builds Teslas to seem consistent. Putting a colorful cover on a Tesla is your sole option for making it seem cool, but that's about it. Subtle differences exist even in the limited edition Tesla models. For example, why can't automakers just go for a plain old lime green? From great distances, my lime green Rivian pickup could be seen well on the highway, according to my acquaintance. It goes to show that the majority of automobiles are basically dull hues.

Being a mass market automobile manufacturer is Tesla's ultimate ambition.

You're making assumptions without proof:
Anyone can tell me that I have or haven't purchased a Ferrari.

And I am really grateful for that. For the past twenty years, my entire household has relied on Apple products. Everyone else's cheap, plasticky junk is getting on my nerves. It was like going from software to hardware all over again. One thing I really appreciate about Apple is how constant they are. They are already well-designed, so there's no need to drastically alter them.

When I was in college in 1995, I could have had a 1982 308GTSi for $28,000. This Ferrari had 12,000 miles on it and belonged to a very rich man in my native state who controlled many dealerships. It resembled the one in Magnum PI in appearance and had a detachable top in crimson. Since I was a little kid, this has been my ideal vehicle.
I opted to purchase a brand-new Tahoe from the identical dealership instead. I decided not to purchase the Ferrari for several reasons. To begin with, it was as dependable as an old Fiat but had exorbitant maintenance costs. Second, getting through the Ohio winters required a dependable vehicle. Next, you shouldn't expect to use a Ferrari every day.
My mistake would have been to get a cheap Cavalier and keep this Ferrari as a showpiece for my garage. The car's value has increased to almost $100,000. Not at all in my Tahoe.

Would you rather invest $$$ on a car to drive for commuting, having pleasure, knowing it can outpace 99.99% of cars on the road, and for maintenance? Do you want to impress people with a beautiful trophy automobile but worry about the expense, insurance, and upkeep of keeping it in pristine condition?
