Fixing a coolant leak and replacing the radiator
I've already spent $2,000 fixing hoses and connections after a sudden and severe coolant leak in 2019 with 86,000 miles.
We will need to repair one of the three radiator tanks and a few hoses and connectors, according to the Indianapolis technician.
After spending $7k on repairs, I really don't want to spend another $4k on this car. Oh crap, I've hit a wall. Seeking the advice of an independent expert.

It would be wise to seek a second opinion, I believe; I'm sorry to hear that.

Does your Indy happen to be actively seeking employment opportunities? Whose word is it, anyway? Is the guarantee of good craftsmanship and merchantability of the parts important? Know what your rights are as a customer according to the laws of your state.
The service department at my dealer is reliable. Starting in 2015, I began driving BMWs.

A typical issue with this item is the high-temperature expansion tank leak, which has been corrected with the LCI. You can see the difference between the old and upgraded parts here: dried coolant around the seam makes this problem obvious.

The vehicle you're driving should, however, only have two expansion tanks: one for high temperatures and one for low temperatures. That third tank the independent spoke about—where is it located?

Perhaps he's referring to the auxiliary heater. Though it appears to be a tank, it is really not.
