Spectra ex 2006 Kia

Greetings, everyone. So, the Spectra I described earlier is only using the defrost vents to blast air conditioning, not the regular vents. Why is this happening, and what can I do to fix it on my own?

The problem with my 2007 Spectra Ex is identical to yours. I tried replacing the blower resistor and motor, but it still wasn't working. I never had it repaired since it isn't my regular vehicle, but I thought you may find that useful.

I value your opinion. Not adding the cost of a diagnostic, it seems like I'll have to shell out a couple hundred dollars.

The blend door actuator might be malfunctioning. This is only an educated assumption, though.
