Need help with core plugs?

Post by sofiarh »

Greetings, everybody! I recently acquired a 1997 F350 equipped with the 460. There is a rot hole in one of the driver side core plugs. Make sure it is a part of a "series" motor, it mentioned when I was trying to order them. What am I to do, and where am I to search, precisely, for this? Your assistance would be much appreciated. It is really appreciated.

Assuming you're certain it's a 460 large block, then the engine belongs to the 385 series.

Post a picture of the engine and others here can confirm its model if you're worried about a possible swap.

It appears to be a 385 series engine, since it closely resembles a factory-installed F series 460. I can see no issues with the water pump location or the heads.
