Thermostat Indicator

Post by lucas_diazp »

Seeking assistance on this matter. Just got my car out of the garage after four hours, so it's only slightly warm. I was going to fill up the gas tank, but then I noticed the temperature gauge went up to hot and the check coolant warning light came on. I didn't even use half a bottle of coolant, so it was slightly low but not crazy. After recently replacing the compressor, I disconnected the AC pressure sensor to see if it would help, but I still don't think the two are related. My air conditioner has been acting up. Does May require a reset? Having driven it all weekend, I can confirm that it starts easily and idles normally. also, the garage floor is free of coolant. Could there be anything else happening?

Has the water pump's temperature sensor been disconnected?

Nope. I'll wait for it to cool down at night and then check the coolant level and sensor. The car is definitely not overheating, as the coolant temperature was 181 degrees at idle according to my code reader live data.
