Greetings, My 26 KIA Sorento PHEV L2 charger is displaying an E6 error.

Post by olivia_patelh »

Salutations Everyone, When I use the factory cable to charge my 26-inch Sorento PHEV using L1, everything works fine. However, when I try to use 240V for L2, I get an E6 error message even before I connect it to the car. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it possible that the problems on the L2 side are due to a faulty cable or adapter? According to my electrician, the 240V outlet is functioning properly.

Much obliged.

The one that came with my vehicle is only rated for 120V in, which is the factory one.

Curiously, mine displays the option for both 115 and 240V.

It comes from an EV6 handbook, however:

You don't need to turn the car on; simply plug it into another 240V outlet and check if the problem persists.

Never worked with 240v, so it might be a warranty issue, especially if it's brand new.

Indeed, that is in the works. Just wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this problem; I'll be taking it to KIA Service anyhow. However, I appreciate your response.
