Roof issue; failure on the right side
The sunroof suddenly stopped working while we were cruising today; the right side won't budge. With the help of my hand, I was able to get it into the tilt open position. A plastic component appears to be loose in the video.

Re: Roof issue; failure on the right side
It appears to require disassembly; how can I begin?
Requesting advice in advance; thank you

I don't know where to begin, and my right side is stuck.

To release the sunroof liner, pry it down from the front. Five clips and the liner slid back as far as the recess would allow it to go are my thoughts. Take out the two 8-millimeter screws on each side. After you've removed the screws, put the roof in the tilt position and slide back about an inch until you see a slot. Slide the panel out of the slot. Find the slot by feeling its gentle touch. Best of luck

Is it the kind of clip that you simply push out?

Re: Roof issue; failure on the right side
The clips at the front detach.
It might be difficult to do this with the sun roof tilted up at the rear. When this occurred to my 1987 wagon, I climbed onto the roof and used a lengthy, narrow, and sturdy piece of aluminum—approximately 2 inches wide and thick enough—to make it rigid. To remove the clips, I twisted this until its end was near the front of the panel, then pushed it down between the liner and the panel. This levered the liner away from the panel. After I removed each of them, I retracted the liner from the sunroof assembly.
To remove the panel, first mark the locations of all visible screws and nuts, and then disassemble the unit. You can now take care of the shattered arms. It would be great if Mercedes still has replacement arms in stock.
