I believe it is time for you to carefully disconnect the ABS unit's electronics and send it in for inspection and possible repair.

The Mercedes parts have already been ordered. A broader neck is a hallmark of all aftermarket brands. It annoys me, but I can't say if it will make a difference. I am choosing OEM Mercedes since I know they will endure for 40 years.

When replacing the bushings in the trailing arms, how crucial is it to utilize OEM Mercedes parts? MB sells them for $37 each, whereas aftermarket vendors charge $6–$7. LR Australia seems to be the source of the RAA part numbers. The RAA part number is on my locally made P38A tow bar.
