Adjusting torque

Post by hassan.wilsonse »

Hello everyone, I should know better than to rely on online sources, but I made the error of thinking 50 nm was the main bearing cap torque setting for 380 SL. Now I'm starting to doubt my abilities because I believed it was Conrods. 🤬🤬🤬

The rod nuts are designed to be 50 + 90 degrees.

Online material should be regarded with caution. Things can turn out beautifully, or they can fall flat... Look at other resources.

Because of this, you should only ever refer to the original factory service manual.
