Problems with Closing

Post by leandro_hernandezj »

Greetings to everybody.
From 2008, I drive a Range Rover Sport.
The issue I'm having is that the car locks into extended height whenever I attempt to raise or lower it. I receive the "suspension in extended height" notice and the car goes back into extended when I try to lower it to regular height. By the way, when I stretch my rear, only my rear moves; the front moves up and down regularly. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the height calibration since every time the vehicle transitions from off-road to standard height, I am greeted with the "extended height message" and the vehicle immediately begins to increase again. By hitting the lowering button repeatedly, I may "force" the car to lower; however, it will take some time before it lowers again. Additionally, there are zero error codes. likewise, I've seen that the right side of the back seats is significantly higher than the left side. However, this isn't fixed; if I raise or lower the car, the right side will likewise rise or lower, but it will always be higher than the left. The issue persists despite my efforts to replace the height sensor. Any assistance is much valued.

I can think of a couple of explanations.
1. The compressor for the suspension is not draining fast enough; either replace it or repair it.
2. Sensors for height, which would cause a stuck up problem and probably throw a code.

3. A physical obstacle to the full compression of the spring is created when oil leaks from the suspension struts into the airbags.

Hello, I appreciate your response.
1. I really doubt it's the compressor because it's just been two months. Why wouldn't I receive a problem code? Additionally, the front end of my car lifts and lowers correctly; it is only the back end that extends.
2. No codes, as you mentioned.

3. Wouldn't that side have to stay at a higher level if oil was dripping from it? Is there a technique to determine whether the struts are leaking?

There can be an issue with the operation of your rear valve block. The desiccant from your previous compressor drier could be inside.
