Trust Deficits in My 2025 RRS

Post by luna.wangnr »

You won't find any. Because of the negative reputation that has long followed Range Rovers, I was hesitant to purchase my first SUV, let alone a Range Rover. In my opinion, the SUV is deserving of a positive assessment.

After 18,000 kilometres on the road, it still outperforms my trusty BMW sedans, which had a knack for a hiccup here and there, even from the start. On my RRS, everything functions properly. More significantly, the P400 engine is more quicker and seems to have settled into its "groove" than before. That is great. On highways, you can get excellent gas mileage, getting about 8 liters per hundred kilometers. At around 10,000 kilometers, I changed the oil since I couldn't wait for the next scheduled interval and I had the opportunity. With "comfort mode" engaged, the ride is incredibly pleasant; the vehicle is composed even when traveling at high speeds on highways and is able to adapt to uneven pavement. It has served its purpose well for transporting seadoos, logs, and baby furnishings. I am impressed by the towing software.

The stereo is becoming second nature to me. With my Meridian 3D system, the midrange accent is no longer a major problem. Without a doubt, I am very powerful.

Automated steering and lane keeping is the one area that may use some work. Using adaptive cruise causes it to be overly sensitive and make infrequent modifications. It seems like this could be a software adjustment. Having the option to slow down on turns using adaptive cruise is a nice feature. When you activate it when stuck in traffic, it operates without a hitch as well. It will begin at the beginning.

While I recognize that it is still in its early stages, I am pleasantly pleased by how much I am enjoying driving this SUV. My expectations were that the transition would be more challenging coming from my last ride, a BMW M550. Actually, it wasn't. But I do have a couple of alternate vehicles that I can use for occasional use.

No idea why JLR is often criticized. Having driven my SF Supercharged for nearly fifteen years, it is without a doubt the finest vehicle I have ever owned. Many of the naysayers have clearly never possessed one, at least in my experience.
I smoked every single car at the track one Saturday (except from a few of highly modified GT-Rs), and to my surprise, three individuals approached me and remarked on how unreliable Jags were! "Okay, where's your timeslip?" I asked.
Your posting this is much appreciated.
I, too, earned my RRS only a short time ago. Not to mention, it's a fantastic car. Incredible and unlike anything else on the road! Just like you, I have had the same experience!

That JLR gets a terrible rap is true, and it's regrettable. Having said that, we can and will gripe about problems with every modern automaker. Because of all the technological sophistication in modern cars, it is to be expected. Serious engine problems caused even Toyota and Lexus to recall a large number of their vehicles. At 1000 miles, my 2025 Range Rover Sport P530 needed a transfer case replacement, which required a tow to the shop. My transfer case was apparently part of a defective batch that LR got from their supplier. After that, it started running smoothly.

A lot of the criticism leveled at JLR is well-founded in speculation and outdated data, as you say. Some people even don't have a JLR vehicle. From what I can tell, my RRS is reliable, and it shows. Both the engine and the suspension of the P400 receive excellent reviews. Just a pleasant, unusual vehicle to pilot. The latest version, 4.5, was recently delivered to me through over-the-air installation. In contrast to my BMW, the upgrades here have been lot more regular and smooth.
