Piece of Airbag Squib Clip?
My vehicle is a 2004 W211 E320 4matic, but my steering wheel and air bag are from 2006.
The airbag warning light is on because there is an open circuit at squib 2 on the airbag system. I can tell you from personal experience that it is the small orange plastic clip that attaches to the airbag squib. A few months ago, I superglued the leg that I broke off. It appears that the short-term solution was not durable.
Is it possible to purchase this component separately? Google and EPC aren't helping me find the right part number; in fact, I'm not even sure what the part is called. An orange safety clip, tiny and delicate, is inserted into the squib to guarantee correct contact.

What is it? A retainer? A push lock? I've heard both terms.

Under electrical components->switch, all I could find were the part numbers for the clock spring.
As I explored ASRA further, I came across a document that explains the process of removing the airbag. I haven't been able to find a part number for the orange piece, but they call it "lock tabs."

If the connector has a part number, I highly doubt it's a separate part. Are you seeking what this has to offer?

Look into a wrecking yard where you can serve yourself.

How fortunate. Those orange clips are all I need. Inquiring minds want to know if those clips are standard issue. Buying it from eBay and checking if the clip works might be a good idea.
