Officially Out of Commission for Nineteen Days or More

Post by hassan.wilsonse »

For my annual checkup, I visited the eye doctor this morning. If anything was wrong, she wanted to know. She asked me about the black spots I've been seeing in my left eye for months, and I told her. She photographed my retinas and conducted all of her tests. She went on to tell me that I needed to take action yesterday because my retina was beginning to detach. I had no idea there was a retina specialist until she sent me to see one. He gave me the rundown on the easy process I need to reattach it. Easy for them, but hellish for recovery. Starting tomorrow morning, I will essentially be unable to perform any strenuous activities and will spend the next two weeks doing nothing more than lying on my couch. Investigation revealed that a couch potato is so glued to their couch that they can't even watch TV, much alone use a computer. Consequently, I expect this to be my final post for the time being. Ensure that no timing chains are broken while I am away.

Wherever you go, I wish you the best of luck. My friend's control freak had noticed some irregularities with an alternative diagnosis. He was always irritated because of his Type A personality. Afterwards, he passed his eye exam and was able to retain his racing license after making a positive adjustment to his blood pressure medication. Wondrous is the human body.

Your prompt action was fortunate. My left eye's retina suddenly detached, and I had surgery that same night. I had to remain face down continuously for a week and a half after they filled my eye with gas (SF6). My eye finally filled up with fluid again after two months of waiting for the gas to absorb. A tiny hole appeared in the exact center of my field of vision in that particular eye. With any luck, a laser treatment will be able to fix yours. You have my best wishes, my friend.

My deepest condolences. This happened to me in 2016. It can be fixed, but it's not nice. No air travel is possible until the eye fills with tears, since it is inflated with gas after the operation. 'Fill' is from top to bottom when the brain flips the image, which is strange. The fact that the gas penetrates the natural lense and necessitates cataract surgery around six months later is an unmentioned problem. So, it's a total pain in the neck, but once it's over, your vision will be restored. I wish you the best of luck with the outcome.

My best wishes for a smooth procedure and a speedier than expected recovery.
They have diagnosed me with "ripe" cataracts, and in two weeks, I will meet with a surgeon to discuss scheduling surgery. My vision is like peering through a foggy windshield — perhaps that's why Angel and Sunshine's windshields are never spotless :)
Any speedy recuperation.
