Re: Warning Beep

Can the "Chirp" alarm be activated through the vehicle's settings, or is that a task reserved for the dealer?

Re: B18 Sensor for Altitude and Pressure

B18 Sensor for Altitude and Pressure
The B18 sensor, which measures altitude pressure, is something I only found out about. Despite claims to the contrary, I have been unable to locate it in my 1981 Mercedes 380SL. Can you point me in the right direction if it has one? Thank you ahead of time.

I have a buddy who owned a W116 and swears by the fact that the stock turbo, gearbox, and engine lasted for 600,000 miles.

I talked on the phone for a while with the dealership near me. Since the tank is also readily available, I'm thinking it may be prudent to replace all of the coolant lines just in case.

It appears to be this pipe here, just behind the auxiliary water pump - A1248325894.

Re: Pipe for Coolant Burst
I am uncertain. I've filled the car full with coolant and it's not leaking, so it's here now 😅
My best estimate is that I won't be able to spot the leak until it reaches operating temperature or the thermostat is opened. I was hoping to continue with the diagnostic, but a hailstorm interrupted my ...

Pipe for Coolant Burst
No sooner had I parked than the coolant pipe burst.
