Re: Need a mechanic's opinion on an OBD2 port that won't connect to a reader.

I appreciate your feedback.

One is a cheap plug-in reader from AliExpress, and the other is a bluetooth reader. My Hyundai was read by both of them. I suspect a data relay problem, but I haven't had the chance to test on another 2009 Rio. Not an issue with the reader.

Need a mechanic's opinion on an OBD2 port that won't connect to a reader.

My 2008 Rio JB is mine. Although it won't work with the vehicle, the OBD reader can connect via Bluetooth. These three readers won't connect to my vehicle.

Re: Vibrations from the front suspension

While navigating uneven pavement in my 2018 X5, I had some severe front end clunking. My transaxle on the passenger side came determined to have a U-joint. It wasn't extremely loose, but the clunking was caused by it.

Re: No Start on Crank After Motor Swap

Thank you very much for all the help, everyone. Reflected and examined thoroughly. I was certain, for some reason, that I had placed the gasoline lines backwards when I discovered this. It took me consulting the instruction manual to realize that I had turned it upside down.

Re: No Start on Crank After Motor Swap

It seems to be trying to run on the starting fluid, but it isn't quite getting the job done. After checking the injectors, I can confirm that they are not firing. It appears that the vacuum fuel regulator is not allowing any gasoline to get through.

Re: No Start on Crank After Motor Swap

It only backfired once while I was beginning it on starter fulid, so that's good. When cranking, I withdrew the plugs and saw that they were all sparking.

Re: No Start on Crank After Motor Swap

Sure, I'll take a shot at getting a new battery. The car has only been unplugged for a week. There ought to have been little alteration. What a relief!

No Start on Crank After Motor Swap

My 2600i extended cab 4x4 just had its head gasket blown, so I thought I'd let you all know. Now that I switched the motors, I'm getting a crank but no start. has no problems turning over, but won't begin. I replaced out the pan and pickups and tossed in the replacement motor, which was taken from a ...

Re: transferring to A5 from TT

Three visits to the dealer were necessary to resolve a similar issue with my 2021 A5.
